This article I found to be very helpful for my research on chorionic villus sampling. History and indications are first mentioned, detailing the popularity and process of this procedure. CVS has not always been the preferred choice of genetic diagnosis. It wasn’t until the 1970s, when a chorionic tissue sample taken as early as nine to ten weeks after conception, did this test become well known.
